Get answers to common questions about Micro.
Micro exfoliates the skin's surface, removing dead cells and debris to reveal smoother, brighter skin. The resurfacing reduces dullness, improves texture, and can help fade mild discoloration. Multiple sessions yield more noticeable, longer-lasting improvements with proper homecare.
Yes — Micro is our microdermabrasion service. We use controlled resurfacing to buff away dead skin cells, delivering brighter, smoother skin. Technique and devices may vary between providers; our licensed clinicians tailor pressure and passes for safety and optimal results.
Most clients notice improvement after one session, but a series of four to six treatments spaced two to four weeks apart produces more significant, longer-lasting results. Your provider will create a plan based on skin concerns, type, and response to treatment.
Microdermabrasion is typically well tolerated; most clients feel mild tingling or sensitivity during treatment. Redness and slight flakiness can occur for 24 to 48 hours. There is minimal downtime — you can resume normal activities with gentle skincare and sun protection.
Ideal candidates have dull texture, fine lines, mild hyperpigmentation, or congested pores and want gentle resurfacing. Clients with active acne, rosacea flare-ups, open wounds, or recent chemical peels should postpone; consult with our clinician to confirm suitability.
Avoid retinoids, strong acids, and sun exposure for several days before treatment. After Micro, use gentle cleansers, hydrating serums, and broad-spectrum sunscreen. Avoid vigorous exfoliation for at least one week and follow your clinician’s homecare recommendations to protect results.
