Many clients notice brighter, smoother skin immediately after treatment, with progressive improvement over days to weeks as cell turnover continues. For deeper concerns, a series of treatments produces cumulative results; your provider will recommend an individualized plan.
Microdermabrasion is generally gentle, but sensitive or rosacea-prone skin requires customization. Our clinicians assess skin type and adjust pressure, crystals/settings, or recommend alternative treatments to minimize irritation. A patch test or milder protocol may be used when appropriate.
For maintenance, microdermabrasion is commonly scheduled every three to six weeks depending on skin condition and goals. Your provider will suggest a series initially for best outcomes, then tailor frequency for long-term results and skin health.
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and strong exfoliants for at least a week after treatment. Use gentle cleansers, broad-spectrum SPF daily, and follow any prescribed serums or moisturizers to support healing and protect renewed skin.
Microdermabrasion can improve mild acne scarring and surface hyperpigmentation by promoting cell turnover, but deeper scars or pigment issues may need combined therapies. Your clinician will assess and recommend chemical peels, lasers, or microneedling when appropriate for optimal results.
