Frequently Asked Questions

Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart, depending on hair thickness, density, and hormonal influences. Maintenance sessions may be recommended annually or as needed for optimal long-term reduction.

Most patients feel mild stinging or snapping sensations; modern devices include cooling and adjustable settings for comfort. Topical numbing can be applied on request. Sensation varies by area, skin sensitivity, and treatment parameters.

Advanced lasers are safer across a range of skin tones, but ideal results require contrast between hair and skin. Light to dark hair responds best; white, gray, or very fine hair may not respond well. Consultation determines appropriate settings and candidacy.

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks, stop waxing or plucking for six weeks, shave the area 24 hours before treatment, and disclose medications or skin conditions at consultation to tailor safe settings.

Facial treatments often take 15–30 minutes, while full leg sessions can range from 30–90 minutes depending on size and hair density. Time varies with device, technician skill, and whether partial or full coverage is needed.

Use gentle cleansers, avoid hot baths and vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours, apply soothing aloe or recommended creams, avoid direct sun and use broad-spectrum SPF, and report unusual redness or blistering to your provider promptly.
